St John's Scarecrow Festival ... Scarecrows come in all different shapes and sizes, why not come and see how many different ones there are at the St John's Scarecrow Festival? It is on all week from 5 - 12 July. On Monday - Friday the Church will be open between 10am and 3pm. Come and walk the Scarecrow Trail ... with free refreshments! On Tuesday 7 July from 3-5pm, there's an After School Drop-in for children. Activities, games and fun for children of all ages. On Thursday 9 July between 10:30 and 12 there's a Coffee Morning with musical entertainment from Meryl Chambers. In the evening of the 9 July at 7pm, join us for a 'Songs of Praise' sing-a-long. An informal evening of hymsn and songs old and new - come and choose your favourites. Then on Saturday, join us for a Free Fun Day in the Church and Centre grounds. Bush-craft, abseiling, penalty shots, food, music, stalls, bouncy castle, face painting, displays, food ……. with entertainment for all ages. Finally ... on Sunday 12 July we're ending with a Church Celebration Service and a 'bring your own' picnic. We'd love to see anyone who would like to come, because just like scarecrows come in all different shapes and sizes, so do people ... and God wants to welcome us all! |
