At St. John’s we feel we are God’s people in this area and that we have a unique opportunity. We have a distinctive “DNA” in that we are St. John the Evangelist and were originally established to reach out. As the Outreach group we focus on the following: Outreach at St John's

• We recognize that without prayer and God in the centre, all our efforts are in vain and so we
aim to put prayer at the forefront of what we do.
• There are many groups which are already reaching out – The Beacon, Little Fishes, Youth &
Children’s work, Alpha to name but a few. The Outreach group endeavours to support these
activities.
• We aim to make the church visible by publicity in the local press or radio, notice boards,
individual invitation etc. We want to make a good impact on our community.
• The Outreach Group will put on events periodically which church members can invite friends
to and also aims to make the most of opportunities like Christmas, Easter or Harvest.
• Outreach is an every member ministry and the Outreach Group seeks to enable all members
of St. John’s both individually and in cells or other groups to share their faith.
